We have a very long way to go before that even happens due to its highly complex and risky nature, and it doesn't make anywhere near as strong a business case as what Tesla is targeting it towards initially: "According to the Tesla AI website, the Tesla Bot is capable of performing unsafe, repetitive, or boring tasks for human beings. Musk said the robot will be able to do tasks like grocery runs, picking up household objects, and other everyday commands."
